This summer Riviera Nayarit celebrates 25 years since it opened its doors as an epicenter for tourism in this beautiful region
Every year, Riviera Nayarit is famous for its beautiful beaches, charming towns and abundant wildlife. It’s also known for being the first and last stop for many travelers on their Central American adventure. In recent years, however, Riviera Nayarit has proven itself to be a resilient destination for travelers of all types.
The official opening of Riviera Nayarit, a hotel that was designed to have a “boutique design, smart spaces and modern technology” to be located in the heart of the Melaque Beach and Golf Resort in Puerto Angel, Mexico.
The Mexican region of Riviera Nayarit proved to be more resilient than any other after one year.
Famous for its miles of beaches, wide selection of hotels and resorts, fascinating nature and wildlife, world-class golf courses, delicious local cuisine and much more, this eclectic destination has somehow overcome the COVID-19 pandemic with even more to offer.
Most importantly, travelers can rest assured that Mexico’s Pacific Ocean treasure is safe to visit. During the pandemic, officials developed guidelines and best practices for wellness tourism, based on recommendations from international health authorities, which were then implemented by various service providers in the region.
These efforts have been awarded the Safe Travels label from the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC). In addition, COVID-19 testing centers have quickly sprung up, and many hotels and resorts offer convenient on-site testing for guests who need a negative result to return home.
Since April, the state of Nayarit has been marked yellow in Mexico’s traffic light monitoring system, with all businesses and organizations running at 70 percent of their capacity. This includes hotels, beaches and excursions.
