In order to meet this challenge, the city is launching the largest-ever global tourism recovery campaign. The campaign calls upon New Yorkers to make a meaningful gesture of support to improve tourism and to show the world that New York City is committed to the long-term recovery of the tourism industry.
NYC & Company, the global tourism recovery agency, announced yesterday that the company has launched its largest-ever global tourism recovery campaign. The campaign, which is designed to reduce cancellations and delays in the UK by 25 percent, is the latest initiative by NYC & Company to support the UK tourism sector through the promotion of its brands, products, and services.

A campaign is underway to restore tourism now that the restrictions are being lifted. The investment in this new program was made possible by American Bailout Plan Act funds raised by Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer and Mayor Bill de Blasio.

The first phase of the Time for New York campaign will focus on 23 U.S. markets, before expanding to Mexico, Canada and Latin America. International expansion into key markets is also planned.
The first launch includes a joint marketing and advertising partnership with AAA Northeast to promote regional travel this summer.

Special offers and the opportunity to discover customized packages for AAA’s 8 million members in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Washington, DC, as well as training for travel agents and digital and email promotions will also help restore confidence and boost the travel market this summer.
