The newest experience in Antarctica connects you to the past of the continent’s explorers: You will follow in the footsteps of Sir Ernest Shackleton during his crossing of South Georgia. It offers both skiing and trekking and is not for the faint-hearted. You can still sleep on board the ship, but you will spend about three days walking to Stromness, from where you will sail to Gritviken, where Shackleton is buried.

If Antarctica is too far away for you and you want an expedition closer to home, consider Alaska. Alaska offers so many fun outdoor activities. During the Aurora expedition on Wrangel Island you can observe polar bears in their natural habitat. Wrangel is home to the world’s largest breeding ground for polar bears, in the surrounding waters you can observe a wide variety of marine life and it is an ideal place for bird watching. On the island, you will also be immersed in the Yupik and Chukchi cultures.
From one end of the Arctic to the other, visitors can climb the glacier-capped mountains of East Greenland on a Greenland expedition trip. The view from the top of the mountain is truly breathtaking with breathtaking fjords and a mountain landscape of ice.
